According to the Russian Machinery Association, in the first quarter of this year, Russian companies supplied agricultural machinery worth 3.9 billion rubles to foreign markets, which is 2.2 times higher than the same period last year. In 2020, the annual export value of agricultural machinery reached a historic record of 15.9 billion rubles. From January to March this year, agricultural machinery has been supplied to farmers in 23 countries/regions, with the main buyers being farmers from the CIS and the European Union.
Earlier, the association reported that sales of agricultural machinery in the domestic market increased by 53% in the first quarter, reaching 32.5 billion rubles. At the same time, the production volume of machinery also increased by the same amount, thanks to the government’s support for the agricultural machinery industry. This support came in the form of Decree No. 1432, which allows agricultural producers to receive discounts and enjoy preferential leasing policies when purchasing agricultural machinery.
